Legal Authority

It was not an easy task to reach a lawyer. I did my research online to find lawyers that dealt with copyright, patent, trademark, and intellectual property which ever subject would be just fine.. I stumbled upon Weide & Miller which dealt with all the subjects I have listed. Now I should remember "Unethical behavior is a risky business strategy and it may lead to disaster" pg. 20
I needed to make absolute sure that every single word coming out of my word did not sound like a kid in elementary school. I needed them to be professional, mature, and prepared to talk to the professionals."When making ethical decisions, people sometimes on the reason for the decision and they want to do what is right" pg. 20 I contacted the place and I'm suggesting the person at the front desk answered. I asked him if there was an attorney available for me to talk to on questions about trademark, copyrights, and all related topics. He tells me the attorneys will like to answer my questions for a cost of being to explain in depth questions about them. I was truly nervous because one screw up with my vocabulary meant the end of talking in an interview and the cost of me failing. That right there gave me an authority to talk to one of lawyers and amazingly I did. The man I talked lasted over half an hour. We went over my questions I asked and even went as far before even conducting the interview this is for a college project. I went in deep begging and pleading for him to help me out and even told him that you were in that time Mr. you know what it felt like to do projects that landed your career and made who you are today. The persuasion worked and the man was very nice and I'm very surprised I did not have pay to talk to him. The fact he did not charge me for the half an hour interview truly gave me a sense of hope. I thought this company that resides near Summerlin, Las Vegas was a great choice. I was truly surprised by how honest the lawyer was to me and how he was not a greedy cheap lawyer now these days. The interview went quickly and easily and I was satisfied with some of his answers and I did agree and disagree with some terms but occasionally we worked it out.

The Questions Final

Ian Galdamez
BUS250H Contracts, Negotiations, and Copyright
These questions I am asking to the lawyer are all related to the subjects of Intellectual property and copyright issues. Some indeed are important to not only for me in the future but for others as well. The terms involved here all deal with copyright and trademark issues and trying your absolute best to make sure all of your work is protected. "Each of us have a duty to behave as a reasonable person would under the circumstances" pg. 94

Bratz Brawl

Week 9 EOC Bratz Brawl
The doll wars between the brands Barbie and Bratz heads back to the court once again. They head back to court this time to prove the idea of Isaac's Larian MGA Entertainment Inc. stole the toy's company intellectual property when it created the first popular Bratz dolls about 10 years ago. The main issue is to settle who is the official owner of the Bratz dolls. Some parts of the case have been litigated in federal court in Santa Ana, California will be going to dueling allegations that each of the companies have participated in a battle of dirty deeds in an effort to steal trade secrets. The company MGA disguised themselves as retails or toy sellers equipped with fake business cards in order to get into the competitors show rooms at toy fairs and collect information on their rivals. MGA will provide evidence for the court that shows Mattel involved in an unfair competition by getting a retailer to remove every single product from MGA from all of its stores and even go as far and ruin a deal with a video game company because of its alliance with Bratz according to the courts. The video game company was THQ. Mattel argues both allegations, Mike Zeller, an attorney for Mattel spoke that the information was stolen and were not trading secrets. MGA officially released in public. For Mr. Zeller, he says allegations about the stuff with THQ are not all correct. It is ok for a company to do work with another company until there is concerns. Mattel accuses employees of MGA for sneaking into its showrooms to peek at incoming products during toy fairs. Mattel also adds that MGA stole trade secrets by encouragement of employees from Mexico and Canada. The court will go in detail from both sides.

EOC Week 6

In the northern area of the state of New York in a small town called Greece, the Supreme Court thinks the town that starts the sessions during the town’s board with prayers has been going over constitution boundaries. Supreme Court has looked back at the history of religion recognition and the court’s own traditions. The justices find this a difficult problem and also finding an absolute decision that won’t be satisfying for others. Even in the beginning of the session for the Supreme Court hearings, they say if it was a good idea to start with a prayer even though it is tradition that they start with one before the court session begins.
Two women, one is a Jew and the other is an atheist, challenge the policy of the town and say that officials from the Jew’s perspective, ignore the requests to change up the practice or try to make it more inclusive. The quote from the woman’s perspective “It is very divisive when you bring up the government with religion. I don’t believe in God but to hear these ministers talk about Jesus and some who questions her motives personally, it is not right.”

Keep your Theocracy off my Democracy is another quote from the court hearings saying that religion should never ever be involved in the government. For me, since I’m very religious after reading on the session. The town never had a policy for the prayers. Honestly for me, I don’t really care what goes on. If the situation was forced upon to do the prayers, then it would make sense because I don’t want to leave my house for a couple of minutes and so something that involves me praying for a few minutes and ending the session there. Religion shouldn’t cross to those boundaries at all.
